Class Policies
The focus of summer school is to
increase student motivation, skills and caring about their own learning.

To support these goals,
students are expected to be on time and present daily. A tardy of more than 15 minutes counts as an absence. Absences over
two days must be arranged in advance and made up by attending an equal number of afternoon sessions.
Students will compile their
work in a notebook they provide. This class uses a pass or fail grading system. The first week will be spent focusing on study
skills, team building and developing creativity. The following three weeks, students will work in pairs to develop and build
an invention of their own. Completing daily logs and documenting their work will provide the majority of written work.
